This week I took two days off from my 'day' job. One of the days was originally for me to do some work on my student's 'halfway' review and to supervise her. However, she has gone into hospital for an emergency operation (get well soon). So I decided to take the two days anyway, as holiday and I hired a car. I needed to hire a car because I am going to hire a car for my Ireland holiday so I thought I had better have a practice. I haven't owned or driven a car since late 2004.
Being a generous sort I phoned around some parishioners to see if anyone would like a trip to Walsingham. I got two takers - good - and we decided to drive to Walsingham on the Friday.
